Using the way back machine website I searched for coca-cola website and in the coca-cola website from October 22 1996 it was just a simple design with just had the coca-cola logo on it with a quote saying: “a hundred years ago, who would thought people would line up to look at old Coca-Cola bottles?. I guess 3000 plus to do it everyday at the museum–course you get to taste all those weird flavours from around the world at the end (those will be tough to translate onto the ‘Net.) So the museum heads are focusing on history, artwork, etc. Some of the old ad lines are priceless — like “Drink Coca-Cola”. An idea from ’86 (that’s 1886) that left no room for misinterpretation, and 1906′s “The Great National Temperance Drink”, What?….

Coca-cola website from July 18 2008 it is the latest coca-cola website created in July 2008, it is different from the first coca-cola website because it has got a different layout and different designs it is also just different to the old website.

The topic I chose to do my Short Report on Recommending the use of Cell Phones, and the Report was due with recommendations on the 21^st of April 2010.

Sue Chard and Kathy Eketone also requested us to do a Blog about our Report about our Findings and how we gathered our information’s. 

My information’s was gathered through researching books (text books), periodicals, Internet websites and ProQuest database.

In my Findings I chose to do 4 different phones with different features and different price ranges.

FINDINGS

The first phone I chose is Vodafone LG GW525 3G Mobile Phone

The Warehouse (2010) states that the following device supports:

-       Vodafone 3G extended coverage

-       Touch Screen

-       Touch screen interface Megapixel camera

The Vodafone LG GW525 3G mobile phone is a sleek looking slider phone with the QWERTY keypad which makes it great for texting and emailing while the landscape orientation of the screen can be used when web browsing. The Vodafone LG GW525 3G features:

-       3 megapixel camera

-       A built in Music Player

This information means to the customer that the LG GW525 has got 3G extended coverage which mean that you can get over 900 megahertz of 3G, it is a sleek looking slider phone with the QWERTY keypad which makes it easier for texting and emailing.

The Vodafone LG GW525 costs up to $199.00.

The second phone I chose is Samsung S5603T Black Mobile Phone

Telecom (2009) states that the Samsung S5603T loves to adapt to your style. The device supports:

• Traditional main menu
• PC-like shortcut icons
• FM Radio
• Media player
• Google Maps
• Speakerphone

This phone is really similar to a PC main menu and it also has PC-like shortcut icons, you can also fill the three homepages with useful widgets. This phone has a Find Music song ID system and smart unlock to open menu items quickly and we call it a “You friendly”.

The Telecom Samsung S5603T Black costs up to $199.00.

The third phone I chose is the Sony Ericsson W508 – Grey.

Bond and Bond (2010) states that the Son y Ericsson W508 Grey has a gesture control that allows the customers to control the phone. This device supports:

• Walkman player 3.0
• Playnow arena
• Track ID
• Text Search
• Sense Me

This phone is a really good phone because it has a gesture that allows the customer to take control of the phone and you can also control it with a simple hand movement.

The Sony Ericsson W508 Grey costs up to $399.99

The fourth Phone I chose is the Nokia 5310 Expressmusic Mobile.

Noel Leeming (2009) states that the Nokia 5310 is a small phone with the big sound. This device support:

• 2.0 mega pixel camera
• FM radio
• MP3 music player
• Bluetooth
• Video camera
• Vodafone Live
• Network

This phone is a small phone with big sounds, and if you need Network connections it requires a purchase of a SIM card for the price of $29.99.

The Nokia 5310 costs up to $279.99.

Vodafone Hits 100 Marks:

UK Global System Mobile (GSM) operator Vodafone has signed its one hundredth roaming agreement with Chunghwa Telecom of Taiwan. Vodafone now has roaming agreements with operators in 64 countries world-wide.

This means that Vodafone is now roaming with 64 operators in 64 different countries.

Ericsson wins two contracts in Taiwan:

Ericsson contract wins: Ericsson has won two contracts in Taiwan together worth $260 million. One is with Far EasTone for the supply of a national GSM-1800 network and a regional GSM900 system in the north of the country. The second contract is with TransAsia to supply a regional GSM-900 network for the south.Ericsson has also received it’s largest-ever order in Brazil, a $164 million deal with Telepar for the supply of an Amps system. This means that Ericsson has won contract in Taiwan both worth $260 million, and also Ericsson received it’s largest-ever order in Brazil at a $164 million deal with Telpar for the supply of an Amps system.

Recommendations

After doing my findings I came up with one last phone to recommend. So at the end I recommend the use of Vodafone LG GW525 3G Mobile because it has got a 3G coverage of 900 megahertz and that means you can video call your family and friends at any time just as long as you have got 3G coverage and also because it is a sleek looking slider phone with the QWERTY keypad which makes it easier for the person to text and email, it also comes with a built in music player which you can carry your tunes in your pocket and listen to them whenever and wherever you want and it is also easy to carry around in your pocket.

A profile can also be used to store the description f the characteristics of a person. A user profile can be found on operating systems, computer programs or dynamic websites such as online social networking sites or bulletin boards.

How does the .JPG extension work?.

•  .JPG compresses pictures by using how we perceive colours and objects, it throws away some of the information we can’t see and that means that this is also a lossy format. We can choose how much to compress a picture with .jpg, and the less the picture is compressed the better quality it is and the bigger the file size.
• .JPG is a commonly used method of lossy compression for photography images

How does the .GIF works?.

• It is a sseries of images that are created each slightly different from the one before and it is similar to the way animated cartoons are created.

Sometimes people forget that there is another human being on the other side of the computer and some people think that lower standard of personal behavior is acceptable on cyberspace. Lower standards may be different in some areas of cyberspace but they are not lower in real life, and don’t believe anyone who say’s the only ethic out there is what you can get away with this is a thing about manners not ethics and also some things that are acceptable  in one area may also be rude in another for Example passing on gossip and also throwing around rumors in a journalists mailing list will make you very unpopular.

People in the olden days use to make copies with carbon papers and you could only make five legible copies so they thought about good and hard about who to send those five copies to, but today you can practically anyone on your mail and we sometimes find ourselves copying other people and in general this is rude. Today people have time less than ever because they have som much information to absorb.

People sometime gives the impression that the net is a cold, cruel place full of people who just can’t wait to insult each other. Most people who communicate online just want to be liked. You also won’t be judged for the colour of your skin, eyes, or your hair, your weight, your age or your clothing but you will be judged by the quality of your writing and this is an advantage if you choose to communicate online so if you didn’t enjoy using the written word they wouldn’t be there and so spelling and grammar do count.

On 20^th of February 2010, in Internet and Multimedia we watched two different videos. One video was “Castle Bravo nuclear Test” and the other was “Tim Berners-Lee and the birth of the web”.

The music that was listened to was the sound effect that was used in the background of the videos and the voices of people talking in the movies.

The major political event that happened was how Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web and he made it available to everyone around the world (Globally)..

-          The Birth of the Web video is about a man name Tim Berners-Lee’s is the man that came up with the idea to share information’s to all computers and people around the world so he came up with the World Wide Web and he made it available to everyone around the world (globally) for free.

-          The Castle Bravo Nuclear Test is about the largest device that has ever been detonated in the United States. Bravo is a hydrogen ball using thermal nuclear fuel that was tested on Marshall Island by the United States of America.  It was a huge explosion releasing large radioactive and it also stripped the island.
